In the absence of Amelia Warner, Amir Snapir (Chair Elect) welcomed Michael Palmer of Adaptive Pharmacogenomics who gave a presentation on CRADA to Develop a General Purpose Software Tool that Optimizes Clinical Study Design with Biomarkers. The slide set for this presentation had been circulated to members in advance of the meeting. Following the meeting Dr Palmer circulated details of an FDA/MIT workshop "Impact of Biomarkers on the Complexity and Cost of Drug Development" to be held in White Oak, Maryland on 21-22 October.
Reports were received from Task Force leaders. The Group noted with satisfaction that 14 companies had responded to the follow up survey on data coding and that one or two more responses were still expected.
Amir Snapir and Jennifer Green confirmed that the Group would meet Face to Face in Washington, DC on Friday 5 February. Amir Snapir indicated that work on the preparation of the agenda for the Face to Face meeting would begin within a few weeks.
